Upload

A track is a GPX file from a computer. Sign photos can come from a computer or your phone. Everything you upload is shared for community mapping, never your name — how sharing works.

Track

A GPX with timestamps. Scored within 30 minutes.

Tracks upload from a computer: open this site there. Phones can't export a GPX easily.

How to get a GPX from Strava

On a computer: open the activity on strava.com, then the … menu on the left → Export GPX. Choose that file here.

On a phone it is harder — Strava's app can't export. If you must:

  1. Type strava.com/athlete/training into Safari's address bar (a tapped link opens the app). Log in if asked.
  2. Tap the activity, then the small GPX button at the top-right of the map, then Download.
  3. Back here: Choose GPX file → Recents → the .gpx.

Other apps: any GPX export with timestamps works the same way.

Sign photos

Trail signs, junctions and the trail itself — not people. A readable sign on a trail earns a point.

Tips for photos

From a phone: Choose photos opens your Photo Library. Pick several, tap Add. Keep location on in the camera so each photo knows where it was taken.

From a Mac: the Photos app sometimes drags small copies. Photos → Settings → iCloud → Download Originals to this Mac, or File → Export → Export N Photos (JPEG, Full Size, Location Information on).

Photos are read within a few minutes. Only where and when they were taken is shared.
